I was born in a village in the Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria. As a child I started woodcarving, initially with a well-sharpened screwdriver. After my departure to London, I managed to buy my first set of chisels a year later and started carving.

I don't'have a design template to work from. Each of my creations is different, unique and sometimes personalised. I use lots of different types of wood and can create sculptures of whatever. Every project starts with a design and sometimes a small model.
